Creative Ark — Australia

This policy outlines how cancellations, rescheduling, late arrivals, and refunds are handled for all Creative Ark services. It is designed to be clear, fair, and aligned with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). My aim is always to work respectfully with clients while protecting the time and preparation required to deliver high quality creative experiences.

1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Compliance

Creative Ark complies with the guarantees set out under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a remedy (such as a refund, reschedule, or credit) if a service:

  • is not delivered with due care and skill
  • is not fit for its intended purpose
  • is not provided within a reasonable time
  • is cancelled by Creative Ark

Change of mind refunds are not required under ACL, and Creative Ark does not offer them except where explicitly stated in this policy.

2. General Cancellation & Rescheduling Rules

Rescheduling

Rescheduling is always preferred over cancellation.

  • Product Planning Package: Rescheduling available with 3 days’ notice.
  • Workshops & Labs: Rescheduling available with 3 days’ notice.
  • One‑on‑One Coaching: Rescheduling available with 2 days’ notice.
  • First reschedule: Free.
  • Additional reschedules: 25% fee (based on the full service price).
  • No-shows: Cannot be rescheduled and the full fee is forfeited.

Late Arrivals

  • Up to 10 minutes late: I’ll accommodate and extend the session if possible.
  • More than 10 minutes late: The session will finish at the original end time.
  • Late arrivals do not qualify for refunds or partial credits.

Digital Materials

Digital resources (worksheets, templates, downloads) are non‑refundable once delivered, unless the file is faulty.

Exceptional Circumstances

Life happens. If illness, emergencies, or unexpected events arise, please contact me through the website contact form as soon as possible. I’ll work with you to find a fair solution within the structure of this policy.

3. Service‑Specific Policies

A. Hour‑Long Workshops

Payment Structure

  • 50% non‑refundable deposit at booking
  • Remaining 50% due 3 days before the workshop (also non‑refundable)
  • Prices include GST for Australian clients

Cancellation

  • Cancel before the 3‑day mark: deposit is retained
  • Cancel after the 3‑day mark: full fee is retained
  • No change‑of‑mind refunds

Rescheduling

  • Available with 3 days’ notice
  • First reschedule free; additional reschedules incur a 25% fee
  • No-shows forfeit the full fee

B. Problem Solving Lab

Payment Structure

  • 50% non‑refundable deposit at booking
  • Remaining 50% due 3 days before the lab (also non‑refundable)
  • Prices include GST for Australian clients

Cancellation

  • Cancel before the 3‑day mark: deposit is retained
  • Cancel after the 3‑day mark: full fee is retained
  • No change‑of‑mind refunds

Rescheduling

  • Available with 3 days’ notice
  • First reschedule free; additional reschedules incur a 25% fee
  • No-shows forfeit the full fee

Minimum Numbers If minimum participant numbers are not reached, I will offer rescheduling or credit toward a future service. Full refunds are not provided.

C. One‑on‑One Coaching

Payment Structure

  • Full payment at booking
  • Prices include GST for Australian clients

Cancellation

  • No change‑of‑mind refunds
  • If cancelled inside 2 days, you may reschedule once at no cost
  • No-shows forfeit the full fee

Rescheduling

  • Free reschedule with 2 days’ notice
  • If cancelled inside 2 days: one free reschedule
  • Additional reschedules incur a 25% fee

D. Project Planning Package

Payment Structure

  • 100% non‑refundable deposit at booking

Cancellation

  • No change‑of‑mind refunds

Rescheduling

  • Available with 3 days’ notice
  • First reschedule free; additional reschedules incur a 25% fee
  • No-shows forfeit the full fee

This approach avoids unnecessary refunds while giving clients flexibility and support when plans change unexpectedly.

4. If Creative Ark Cancels

If I need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive:

  • a free reschedule, or
  • credit toward another service

You may choose whichever option suits you best.

5. Payment Methods

Creative Ark accepts:

  • Online payments (PayPal, Stripe)
  • Bank transfer

Refunds (where applicable under ACL or this policy) are processed back to the original payment method.
